Soul's Life Journey

Dre Soul's journey from Lisbon, Portugal, to the vibrant streets of South-West London is nothing short of inspiring. Raised in the multicultural neighborhood of Zona J de Chelas, Dre's upbringing was grounded in family unity amid humble beginnings. Despite the tight living spaces, the sense of community fostered a unique childhood experience where neighbors were like extended family.

In 2004, at the age of 10, Dre and his family moved to the U.K., seeking better opportunities and a brighter future. Settling in Stockwell, South-West London, Dre's initial disinterest in music transformed during his late teenage years. His introduction to beat-making occurred during his time at Ealing, Hammersmith & West-London College, and he honed his skills further at Kingston University, studying Music Technology.

Dre's musical journey continued with the founding of F.O.C.U.S Records, U.M.S (Urban Music Showcase), and the rap group HOODFELLAZ during his university days. After going solo, he faced numerous life obstacles, with the most significant turning point occurring on August 28th, 2021, when he lost sight in his left eye due to a life-changing altercation.

Despite this setback, Dre Soul remains resilient, releasing "Drill Mode" as the first single from his upcoming EP, "Lone Wolf Season." The track seamlessly blends conscious rap with the impactful sound of UK drill, incorporating Portuguese lyrics and diverse instruments to create a unique sonic experience.

Dre's determination is further evident in the accompanying short movie, a collaboration with G.Reg Productions. The video delves into the harsh realities behind the glamorous lifestyle often glamorized, delivering a powerful message on choices and consequences.
